This poster offers an insight into the film preservation workflow at the Film Archives. It describes completion of technical documentation, analysis of the available film elements as well as reparation work of analogue film, with the aim to restore the original film’s mechanical capability for its passage through the machines (cleaning equipment, scanner, printer, etc.). Proper methodology prior digitization gives the idea of the complexity of digitization process, enables to plan the most appropriate workflow and establish an optimal timeframe for the conclusion of the project.
